This walking tour is for adventurous and curious souls. We will take you on a 1-day or 2-day hike through narrow canyons labyrinth, covered by subtropical forest. We will climb up tiny rocky paths to discover ancient tower and ruined medieval fortress. Birtvisi is a unique area that has both interesting historical value - a fortress system dated back from the 10th century, with the reputation of one of the most impenetrable stronghold. Though conquered by Turco-Mongol Amir Timur. There is perfect terrain for adventurous hiking with climbing, which also gives the feeling of a medieval fairy tale and all these only 1 hours ride from Tbilisi!

Both 1 and 2-day tours can include light climbing upon your wish. There are possible harder or more simple roads. We can adjust it up to your physical strength.

It is possible to rent gear like a backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, tent, cutlery, and hiking poles if you wish.

“Last week was my first experience with Camp Caucasus and first experience with mountain camping in general. In this case the organisers showed a high level of professionality organising these kind of camps. 1) organizational part was up to point; 2) organisers communicated with us properly before the camp to inform what to bring with us/what not to bring/what to expect/ what we will eat etc. in all aspects so I felt prepared; 3)in mountains we can never predict the weather percisely and I liked that organisers were open minded to change something in our scedual so we don't miss the most beautiful sights. 4) One thing I did not prepare myself was that the hiking in mountains was actually hard for me ( and I'm trained :), so be prepared physically. Another thing I did not prepare myself was generosity of Georgian people and a LOT of tasty food there. 🙃”
