We booked a walking tour with Camp Caucasus from Mestia - Ushguli, making arrangements from UK. Aside from being a fantastic hike, we have nothing but praise for Nino and the team that organised everything for us, including accommodation, transfers, movement of bags, walking guides, routes for our phones etc, etc. Any queries we had were answered clearly and quickly, and comms using What's App while on the hike worked very well. Highly recommended, and at a much better price than UK based agents offering similar itineraries!

We have done the Tusheti self-guided trip, which was absolutely fabulous. Tusheti is a very unique, remote and wonderful corner of the world. Great nature, incredible Georgian hospitality, superb walks.
The organization of the trip was impeccable, the customer support is fantastic: the communication, trip notes, planning, maps etc. everything worked very well. Truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend to everyone who appreciates good hikes, simple accommodation and delicious food. Bear in mind that it is a not a walk in the park and requires a good level of fitness, but absolutely worth the sweat.

“Firstly, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Pavels and Nino. Thank you for organizing everything for us. Though the tour is a bit tough for the kid, he could finish the whole tour on his own. I am really pleased. I think Pavels is a responsible guide who offered us lots of help, and Nino helped to do every chores during the tour, that is really a tough work.

This is kind of unforgettable tour for us, we will remember it at all times."

PHOTOS from OUR GUESTS

We'd be happy to see your photos from your adventures with us.

We did the Peaks and Valleys of Sveneti self-guided walk in June and it was spectacular. The wildflowers were in full bloom against snow-topped mountains and brilliant blue skies. There was also some afternoon thunder and rain to complete our experience (we had been forewarned - but the lure of wildflowers and fewer crowds made it well worth it). The third day with the river crossing by horse and views of Adishi Glacier and surrounding mountains was a day to remember. Upside: the trails were well marked and varied, the accommodation was welcoming, villages and history are fascinating, food was good and plentiful, everything (including drivers) was very well organized. We felt well supported with good communications, and would absolutely recommend Camp Caucasus when planning a trek in Georgia. Downside: it was over all too soon! Bottom-line: Brilliant hike in a beautiful country - we're so glad we had the opportunity to experience it. Thank you Camp Caucasus!

Thanks to Camp Caucasus we had 3 unforgettable days in Georgia!!! We booked a photography tour and our guide allowed us to visit some amazing places during our time in Georgia. We learned exciting historical background information from her about each place. Our driver also did a great job and always brought us safely to our destination. Even to the airport in the middle of the night. We were very glad that we didn't have to drive ourselves, as the traffic was very chaotic at times. We spent the first two nights in a guest house with a nice family and were able to get a little insight into the life of the locals. The rooms were neat and clean. The next two nights we stayed in a chic hotel where we could end our evenings on a roof terrace with a great view over Kutaisi. Thanks again to the team! It was a really nice time and we'd love to come back! 🙂

It was an amazing experience, I had a great time. I think my parents and brother also had a great time. I, my friends, want to say this: If you want to experience the same thing as me - riding horses, climbing mountains, swimming in a waterfall and much more, then contact Pasha, the person who made it possible for us on this tour It was comfortable and we didn't worry about anything.

“Last week was my first experience with Camp Caucasus and first experience with mountain camping in general. In this case the organisers showed a high level of professionality organising these kind of camps. 1) organizational part was up to point; 2) organisers communicated with us properly before the camp to inform what to bring with us/what not to bring/what to expect/ what we will eat etc. in all aspects so I felt prepared; 3)in mountains we can never predict the weather percisely and I liked that organisers were open minded to change something in our scedual so we don't miss the most beautiful sights. 4) One thing I did not prepare myself was that the hiking in mountains was actually hard for me ( and I'm trained :), so be prepared physically. Another thing I did not prepare myself was generosity of Georgian people and a LOT of tasty food there. 🙃”

“So I got to share this incredible experience with the most amazing group of people, we did an expedition in the Georgian Caucasus Mountains trekking up to 3000 metres, seeing Black Rock Lake, averaging about 6-8 hours a day for the week, stayed in the wilderness, rode horses, hiked and climbed up to a waterfall, ate the most delicious food and wine, stayed with the most welcoming host family, shared some beautiful moments together making friendship bonds for life. Thank you to all who were a part of this little journey with me, if you ask me, I would say every human needs the wilderness to feel alive, free and well just plain happy 😊 We were also lucky enough to be a part of their new promo video, very grateful indeed! Nino and Pavels are the perfect pair to show you everything they know in Georgia, they have a relaxed friendly vibe and really show their passion with nature. I can't recommend them enough, sure to have a life-changing adventure!

"I have always been attracted by nature and recently by mountains. Camp Caucasus appealed to me with its adventure stories. Young but very knowledgeable people, Pavel and Nino, developed an interesting route through the mountains of Georgia, where you could enjoy a one-day climb to a beautiful waterfall, horse riding and the main event, a three-day expedition to the beautiful Caucasus mountains.
Since I suffer from type 1 diabetes, Pavel very professionally prepared me for this trip, also looked after me and gave advice throughout the trip, so that I could fully enjoy the climb in the Caucasus Mountains and Georgian hospitality. The three-day expedition was a test for me, because I had never climbed a mountain for such a long time before. I did not know how it would be, but I trusted Pavel, because I knew that I would be safe and I did not have to be disappointed, because I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Camp Caucasus cares a lot about its customers, our group members felt it, and thanks to them Camp Caucasus.
If you also suffer from type 1 diabetes and want to climb mountains, then trust Camp Caucasus.”

“I am rather skeptical about organized recreation if it is not organized by me. At the same time, I can easily subscribe to any well-planned and organized outrage. And my vacation in Georgia with Camp Caucasus is by far my best adventure of this summer. I have not met such clear, organized, knowledgeable and at the same time pleasant, light and interesting people like Pavels and Nino, who really enjoy what they do, for 20 years. And this is very important when you go to the mountains and spend with people for a week, almost 24/7, which for me personally is generally a serious way out of my comfort zone. Fantastic nature, incredible open spaces, mountain lakes, physical activity, Georgian hospitality, delicious food, dinner with meat in a pot at an altitude of 3000m, overnight in mountain shelters, water from a spring, clouds underfoot, starry sky - everything was and was wonderful! Camp Caucasus you rock!”

“Thank you, Nino and Pavels for the adventure-packed and active week in Georgia at Camp Caucasus adventure camp. It was lovely to hike almost every day and then return to the guest house that felt like home and enjoy Georgian food cooked with love, as well as to recharge with simple, yet nutritious breakfast for the upcoming adventures. 3-day trekking in the mountains was one of the most amazing things I've ever done, as well as the day trips along the rivers to the waterfalls. Even though it was a tough climb in the mountains, it was worth the effort, to see all the breathtaking views and untouched wilderness. What's more, Nino and Pavels sincerely took good care of each and everyone in our little group and it just felt like exploring outdoors with good friends. Their enthusiasm and positivity about being in nature is quite sticky!”
